In the second half of the game, it will become a bit more open, but at the beginning, the creators give us simpler puzzles, which do not require more than 2-3 items or running on several boards. We collect items and then try to use their combinations to get to the next screen. In the first location, we have a sample of what will be the essence of the game for a long time. We do not know why it happened, we only know that we have to gather (literally!) Together and go back to our hometown. For Josef, that means ending up in a landfill. We start our adventure, like every self-respecting hero, from falling to the very bottom.

Our hero does not have superpowers, does not have a lot of useful gadgets, and does not give the impression of being especially smart. It is worth mentioning that he bears this unusual name in honor of Josef Čapek, a Czech painter, writer and poet, the man who invented the word “robot”. Machinarium is a point-and-click adventure telling the adventure of a little robot, Josef. What’s more, due to the aversion of the creators to the way Microsoft does business, Machinarium has become an exclusive title for PS3.
